Nadina Lake

Nadina Lake is definitely one of those rarely heard of hidden gems in BC. Located near the small community of Burns Lake, British Columbia, you have to travel an old, gravel logging road to reach it. Although the drive is long and bumpy, it is well worth it once you get there. There are two places to stay at the lake: Nadina Lake Lodge, or the forestry campsite. Each time I've been there with my family we stay at the Lodge. It's reasonably priced, and has cute little cabins with the necessities you need, although there is no running water and electricity goes off after 11pm. Don't worry though, there is a shower house on site!
We visit Nadina primarily for the amazing Rainbow Trout fishing in the lake. Although we go there on a 'fishing trip', just being out on the lake all day, surrounded by calm waters and the towering Nadina mountain off in the distance is my favourite part. The views are amazing no matter which way you look! There are also a few good trails to explore in the area, after a day out on the lake.
