Liard Hot Springs is in Northern BC, right near the border with the Yukon Terrirory. These
hot springs are without a doubt the best I have ever visited. Unlike most hot springs, these are 100% natural, with
no cement pools. It's like swimming in a really warm pond. There point of going up to Liard is defintely to relax.
You can bring a tent, set up camp, and always be about a 15 minute walk through the forest to the pools, where you
will most likely spend all of your time. There are two pools, the Alpha pool and the Beta pool, the latter of which
has not been aestatically altered at all, and is much deeper. The Alpha pool is most popular, and you can challenge
yourself to walk from the cool end to the hottest end, which I was unable to do; it's really hot!
Getting to Liard is also fun, as the further north you go, the more wildlife you see: mountain goats, caribou, and
wild buffalo are common sites along the way.
