Phil & Shay's Adventures in
Japan
Updated: Sept 9, 2004
So I know its been a while since the last update, so I've provided a real variety here. Shay and I had our anniversary and there are a couple pics from that as well as some from my cousin's visit.
Added the most recent Emails from Shay too if you want to re-read or missed some.

So Shay's parents said that the news reported that a boat ran ashore and hit three houses in Japan. We thought it was pretty funny, but we do understand how it is possible. Just check out this pic. |
There was a fire on our street at 5:30am Sept. 9 and boy was it noisy with all those fire trucks on our street with all the sirens wailing. The building that burnt was toast, and lit the house next to it too. The funniest thing I thought was seeing all the neighbours out on their balconies in their undies. |

This is my cousin Shawn and his girlfriend Andrea, they visited us. They live in Koriyama which is north of Tokyo. I only saw him hit his head twice, but you can imagine how many times he's actually hit it having been here 16 months. |
So this was the magnificent beach we went to check out. You can't see it but you can tell from what I'm doing that it is raining cats and dogs. If only we could have timed it to catch a lightning strike. |

Saw an amatuer Sumo tournament with Shawn and these are some of the pics he took. |
These pics don't make up for actually being there when they smacked heads. These two are poised for a sick thunk. |

Only the fat guys lasted, there were some skinnies but they were out before we got there. |
I labelled this pic "get down and jiggle" but honestly they didn't jiggle much, they were a lot more solid than they look. |
