Biography:
When she was born, her parents named her Valloa. She lived under that name for over a century, never suspecting that it wasn’t the name she ought to have. Like her mother and grandfather before her, Valloa learned the ways of a huntress, becoming quite proficient with a spear. Timmorn had always made her feel uncomfortable, he was different and not one of them, so wild and predatory that it put her on pins and needles to be around him. And yet, Valloa was the first to Recognize Timmorn, as he found the true name of her soul, Murrel. Barring him his first born, Laststar, she found herself at odds with her proud mother who had been looking to make Timmorn her own. While Timmorn always favoured Murrel, he was too wild to be considered hers and before long began Recognizing other elves and bearing children with wolves as well. Murrel focused on raising her daughter instead of letting herself feel anything for being one of his breeding stock. She took up weaving and found that she enjoyed it, choosing to become one of the elves who stayed home rather than attempt to compete with the Hunt. When her second Recognition to Timmorn hit, and she gave him her second daughter, she had become at odds enough with the Hunt that she couldn’t even fathom a name for the child. It wasn’t until Timmorn abandoned the tribe in Rahnee’s care that she began to grow closer to her daughter. When the tribe needed new hunters, as Three-toe the Father had run off with most all of them, Murrel stepped up once more to try and find a way to hunt alongside the remaining members of the Hunt. As time went on, and more of the Hunt were finding the names of their elven souls buried within—yet keeping them secret and private—Murrel changed her name once more, taking on a Wolfrider name that both honored her daughter’s memory and declared her status as pure elf becoming part of the wolf: New-Wolf. She became the lifemate of both Glowstone, and Talen, though never again Recognized. She managed to be one of the longest surviving elves within the tribe, not dying until the snake attack that killed many of the Wolfriders during the reign of her great-great-grandson, Freefoot.
