Synopsis: A fifteen-year-old boy names Max Fisher (Jason Schwartzman) is king of extra-curricular activities at Rushmore. Despite his enthusiasm towards attending Rushmore he does poorly academically. He faces a dilema when he is put on academic probation. Max also finds himself falling in love with a teacher at Rushmore, Rosemary Cross (Olivia Williams). He becomes friends with a father of some of the Rushmore students, Herman Blume (Bill Murray) who also seems to be falling for Ms. Cross.
