Empire Stadium
The
first venue that saw BC Lions games, Empire Stadium opened in 1954 and
was the Lions home up unitl 1983, when they moved to BC Place Stadium.
Empire Stadium housed a crowd of 32 375. The Stadium saw seven Grey
Cups, one of which was the first Grey Cup west of Ontario in 1955. The stadium was also home to the
the stadium was demolished and served as parking lot to the Pacific
National Exhibition until it was rebuilt as a soccer and track field.
It will most likely be the home of the Lions during parts of the 2010
CFL season as BC Place undergoes renovations. 
BC Place StadiumThe
current home of the BC Lions, BC Place Stadium was opened in 1983 as
preparation for the 1986 World's Fair, Expo 86. The stadium houses 59
841 people and with its dome top is the largest air supported dome
stadium in the world. BC Place Stadium has seen seven Grey Cups; the
most memorable one in 1994 when the Lions beat the USA expansion team,
the Baltimore Stallions, with a last minute field goal from Lui Passaglia.
The stadium will undergo renovations which will include the
installation of a retractable roof, in time for the 99th Grey Cup
BC will be hosting in 2011. BC Place Stadium is also the
home of the BC Sports Hall of fame, which includes such Lions inductees
as Jim Young, Willie Fleming, and the late Bob Ackles.
