About Us

General Information:

The Tsay Keh Dene, formerly known as Ingenika, consists of 329 Band Members.  186 live on reserve and 143 live off reserve. The Tsay Keh Dene Village is located at the northern tip of the the Williston Lake.  It is 567km north of Prince George.  It is accessible via logging road or you can fly in.

Economic Activities:
Logging, seasonal fire fighting, trapping, big game guiding. The First nation is one of four partners in Tsay Tay Forestry Ltd. and undertakes construction, road maintenance, silviculture contracts and reservoir cleanup contracts for B.C. Hydro. It also runs a logging and construction camp at Finlay River.

Facilities Available On Reserve:
School, airstrip, fire hall, electrical generator. New community complex includes band office, teacherages, RCMP building and community center.
There is a total of 58 houses in the community.
