"Well if you must, you must." Said Nora feeling pity for the old man and opening the door wider. "Come in and take off your hat and coat, while I make the tea. Just in there. Yes. Just sit down and I'll be back in a minute." Said Nora as she closed the door to the front room after seating Mr. Pennington in it.
Nora went up the stairs to find Carly and told her to get down to the front room and entertain Mr. Pennington.
"Its thanks to you he's there, now you can go down and sort him out. Go on. Go on down and talk to the man and if you leave me alone with him again, I'll send you home on the next plane. God help me I will. You little…"
Nora went to make the tea and Carly went into the front room. Nora eventually arrived and passed out the teacups and pound cake. Just as they were nearly finished their tea, Nora saw through the curtains that Julia had come by with the sweater she had asked Nora to finish for her.
