Eastern Slopes Grizzly Bear Project.
The Eastern Slopes Grizzly Bear Project (ESGBP) was initiated in 1994 to address the urgent need for scientific information about the cumulative effect of human development and activities on grizzly bears in this area. The ESGBP actively promotes the application of this information in management and conservation contexts.

Foothills Model Forest.
In 1999, the Foothills Model Forest launched the Grizzly Bear Research Program. This program is a five-year, cooperative, international, multidisciplinary research effort. It works toward the long-term conservation of grizzly bears.
