Eastern
Slopes Grizzly Bear Project.
The Eastern Slopes Grizzly Bear Project (ESGBP) was
initiated in 1994 to address the urgent need for scientific
information about the cumulative effect of human development
and activities on grizzly bears in this area. The ESGBP
actively promotes the application of this information
in management and conservation contexts.

Foothills
Model Forest.
In 1999, the Foothills Model Forest launched the Grizzly
Bear Research Program. This program is a five-year,
cooperative, international, multidisciplinary research
effort. It works toward the long-term conservation of
grizzly bears.
U.S.
Geological Survey: Great Glacier Area Bear DNA Project.
Population estimates using DNA extracted from bear hair
without handling bears (a similar project was recently
undertaken on the Parsnip grizzly bear project).
The
Bear Den.
Contributing to a comprehensive understanding of
all members of the URSIDAE (bear) family; allowing visitors
to share in a visual and written celebration of the
wonder we experience in the presence of bears; and supporting
the successful cohabitation of bears and humans upon
the earth.
The
International Association for Bear Research and Management.
The IBA is a nonprofit volunteer organization open to
professional biologists, wildlife managers and others
dedicated to the conservation of all species of bears.
