| Bindi | The tilak (bindi) is a mark that is applied on the forehead. It signifies that the one who wears it belongs to the Hindu religion. | ![]() |
| Cremation | Hindus believe in cremating the dead. The ashes must be put in a holy river or sea. If this is not done, Hindus believe that the person's soul will never be set free. | ![]() |
| Cows | Hindus believe that cows are sacred because they are the sole providers of milk. For this reason, even if Hindus are non-vegetarian, many do not eat beef. | ![]() |
