This picture is of the triangle choke that Eddie Bravo pulled off on Royler Gracie, top member of the Gracie family at the time in the ADCC submission wrestling competition in 2003.  His competitive career ended after he won this competition, and there are many competitors since 2003 that could probably defeat Eddie Bravo in these tournaments.  This was a very shocking turn of events though.  Throughout the competition Eddie would simply pull half guard on all his opponents, a classically detrimental position for him, but with his new technique he managed to turn it into a beneficial one.  Most of his tournament fights went the same way, with exception of his match against Royler.  In this match he played Royler's classic Jiu-Jitsu game and managed to submit Royler rather quickly in the match.  His notable students include Joe Rogan, a brown belt under Eddie Bravo, Dean Lister, a professional mixed martial arts fighter who is fighting in the UFC, Shinya Aoki, a professional mixed martial arts fighter from Japan who fights in the Dream organization and recently lost a fight for the 155 pound title, Jason Chambers,  a professional mixed martial arts fighter and instructor of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do, and Gerald Strebendt, another professional mixed martial arts fighter.
