Ashley Neufeld

Ashley plays for the UNBC Northern Timberwolves Lady Basketball team.  She's coached by Loralyn Murdoch.  Ashley wears number 5 on her back and has been a starter since her arrival last September.  She's an on the court leader - the point guard - and has been elected co-captain of the 2003-2004 T-Wolves.  She's an extremely hard worker who strives to play her best every moment of every game, and her teammates respect her for it.  Ashley is a model student and a role model for her teammates and younger girls hoping to play where she does today.

Aside from basketball, Me and Ashley are dating.  Ashley and I attended high school together in Maple Ridge, although we never met or even talked until after I had graduated.  We met  two summers ago through a friend and hit it off immediately.  We started dating in June and by the end of August had fallen in love.  She had received a scholarship to UNBC for basketball, so she moved to Prince George while I attended Douglas College in New Westminster.  We stayed together for the first semester but the distance became too great and we broke up in January of 2003.  We remained close and when she returned to Maple Ridge for the summer we both got jobs working at the same golf course.  We remained friends until September of this year when I moved to Prince George to attend UNBC also.  We've since gotten back together and are doing just dandy.  Below is a picture of me and Ash hugging last New Year's Eve.  Ashley is a fun, easy-going gal who loves to be active and enjoy her life.
