The Jumbo Pass is a beautiful experience for all hiking levels, as it is a very well beaten and distinct path. It is roughly a four hour hike to the Jumbo Pass Cabin where there is a stunning view of the Jumbo Glacier and alpine meadows full of blooming wildflowers in the late summer.
This is major bear country known for its grizzly encounters, so travel prepared and in groups if possible. The bugs were notable bad as well so bug spray is advised.
