My name is Amelia Garcia. I go to Prince George Secondary
School, but I live so far out of the city, my residence
is in a little "town" called Giscome. Giscome
is so small we have to have our mailbox in the quaint
village of Willow River. Since Giscome doesn't offer any
of the usual entertainments found in larger cities, I
started reading at a very young age to keep myself busy.
Before long I was making up my own stories, all with my
own childish illustrations. I think I started writing
out of neccessity, because keeping all the stories straight
in my head was a strain. Since then I haven't looked back.
I'm very grateful for all the support my friends give
me. I really don't know where my inspirations come from.
I think of something that other people might consider
a normal happening, and I write about that. "Moonlight"
was something else entirely for me. My teacher, Mrs. Woolgar,
determined the topic choices for the stories we wrote
for English 10. We just drew the "story starter"
out of a hat. So writing that story was a stretch for
me, and I'm glad that it turned out half decently.
