Mike Carson has spent far too many of his 35 years living
in Prince George. After a brief hiatus from high school
to attend Simon Fraser University, Mike traded in his
(lack of) ambitions for a warmer place to sleep, and he
returned to high school. He has been teaching English
to (or at least speaking it at) young people for thirteen
years.
Mike has twin sons, Daniel and Matthew, and this story
is dedicated both to them, and to the grandfather he wishes
they had known better.
Thank you to Amber-Dawn Metz and Mike MacDonald, two
illustious students, who asked their favorite teacher
to submit something for R.O.W.
