sissy-pants, was that
Miss Gordon, at age 23, was far too ancient to catch a dose of boy fleas.
So we simply let Cynthia throw herself between Miss Gordon and the dreaded
plague.
Cynthia bravely emblazoned
the seat of Miss Gordon's chair with "S.B.F.P." She wrote it in black
felt pen. She wanted to be sure Miss Gordon got the best protection possible.
What Cynthia didn't realize was that the combination of a warm spring
day and Miss Gordon's large backside would render the black ink making
it indelible only on the skirt of her new pink spring suit. When she stood
up and faced the board, Cynthia's beloved teacher looked like she had
been freshly branded by the "S.B.F.P." cattle ranch.
Jerry Hunt, the boy who had already failed Grade 4 twice, and who had to sit at the front of the class because he was a troublemaker, was the first, and loudest to laugh. When Miss Gordon whirled around and demanded
