Part of the problem with the outbreak of the flea plague was its timing. It always coincided with the onset of warm spring weather. With the warmer weather, we were allowed to spend more time outdoors. Art classes were held in the woods, science classes were spent down by the creek, gym classes were a free-for-all of letting off steam in the playground. It was during one of these classes that the sisterhood got caught completely off guard. When Brian Banks deliberately touched Tina Smith during art class in the woods, she sneered at him and flashed him the palm of her hand. Brian looked at her hand, looked at her, and then stuck his bony boy finger in her face and yelled "Hah - got ya!"
