Pennington's Dance / Russell... 20

"Nana I won't lie for you. You'll have to see him so you may as well answer the door yourself. You're always telling us to tell the truth and live a good Christian life. Lying is a sin Nana, you know that. What would Granddad say if he heard you telling me, your favourite granddaughter to lie for you? Hey? He'd turn over in his grave."
"He'd turn over in his grave if he knew that old Pennington was coming around to court me, that's why your granddad would turn over in his grave." Said Nora putting things away in the kitchen.
"Well there's nothing for it then but to answer the door and see what Pennington wants. Come on Carly."
"What, he's hardly come to see me Nana. He hardly wants me around while he proposes to you." Teased Carly as she tried to pull away from her nana's grip on her arm.
