Faith Mackay
teaches English and Social Studies at Mackenzie Secondary School. She lives
in Mackenzie, British Columbia with her husband and two children. She has always
written poetry, and views that genre as the "window to the soul." She also dabbles
in narrative writing and has several works in progress in various stages of
incompletion. Her poetry is usually a simple observation of her environment
mixed with her own inner perspective. Born in a mining camp in northern Saskatchewan,
raised in the Yukon, and having lived all her life in northern Canada (aside
from a five year stint in Victoria to attend university), her view on life is
one through snow covered eyelashes and northern town windows.
