Christina received her BSW from the University of Victoria and is currently an MSW Candidate in the Social Work Program at UNBC as well as a part-time instructor at the College of New Caledonia. She is also an experience research assistant currently working on a project looking at the lived experience of older adults caring for a spouse with dementia. Approaching wellness from a women-centred, health promotion perspective, Christina is passionate about the right of northern and rural women and their families to experience healthy lives. A long-time resident and activist from Dawson Creek, Christina is president of the Canadian Rural and Remote Health Association, a Board member of the Northern Women's Wellness Information Centre, Vice-President of the Northern Branch of the BC Association of Social Workers, and coordinator of the Women North Network.
