I've
been a working class hero most of my life. Seven years ago, due to corporate
down-sizing, I took a buy-out from BC Rail and received a social work degree
from UNBC. I'm currently in the MSW program at UNBC. I'm proud of my blue collar
past and to honour those memories and to give voice to the struggle of working
class people, I write poetry and stories. In these days of globalization and
corporate owned news media it is important for all groups of people to have
their stories heard. I've lived in this area for 26 years with my partner Tina
and have raised our family here in Prince George. Tina and I are social activists
and believe strongly in a participant democracy.
