Madgett in Drowning By Numbers (1988)

The character of Madgett was played with great hilarity by Hill.  He took a completely dysfunctional character and turned him into someone an audience could like.  Madgett was a coroner who tended to lie on death certificates so he could receive "benefits" from widows.  It didn't quite work out as he hoped, but it was fun to watch Madgett's complete demise.
