Definition of Soccer
Soccer is a team sport which is popular all around the world. It is played
between 2 teams of 11 with the objective being to get the ball into the
opposing team's net . This can be done by any body part exluding the arms. The
team which scores the most goals during the game wins the match. Soccer is
played with a round ball that is kicked and dribbled with the feet. People are
able to join league socer at the age of 5 and continue playing for as long as
they wish. It is a fun and enjoyable game and is popular between both boys and
girls.
Soccer can be played anywhere and anytime. There are many tournaments that are
held around the world involving the sport. Some tournaments include, The World
Cup, which is held every four years and includes the top teams from all around
the world. Some national teams include; Italy, Germany Ghana and USA. It is a
wonderful opportunity to celebrate culture, diversity and share the love for the
sport. Another tournament is The European Championship. This tournament consists
of only the best teams in Europe and works in the same way as The World Cup.
