Ami James is the owner of the Miami Ink tattoo shop.  He was born in Israel, and served in the Israeli army.  When he was twelve years old he moved to Miami.  He had always been interested in traditional art and tattoos, as he received his first professional tattoo at the age of fifteen. After becoming an apprentice, he continued with his passion and began tattooing on his own.  Before he opened his own shop, he tattooed out of his own house.  Ami is now 33, and has become very successful with his tattoo shop he works at with five of his best friends, who are family to him.  Ami is known for his tough guy attitude, and his hard work.  For Ami, the job and the clients come first.
