Vancouver Complication

Back in the day and I mean back in the day, probably the best undiscovered hotbed of punk rock and new wave in North America was bursting with creative and fiery talent. I am talking about Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, my friend. The year was 1979, there was no money to put out a compilation for the scene, so the bands and a few scenesters organized some benefit concerts to pay for the album, after a lengthy list of snafus (hence the name "Complication") the album was out. So now 25 years later, it finally has been rereleased for the 1st time. Jack rabid (Big Takeover Magazine) calls it "The finest scene compilation ever made." All in all there are 34 tracks by 17 bands. The list is highlighted by The Pointed Sticks, The Subhumans, D.O.A., The Dishrags, The Young Canadians and Rude Norton. Remastered by Chris Cutress (the guy who recorded it) it is a long sought after piece of musical history.
