There are two types of Killer Whales:

Females tend to live until they are 90 years of age, out living males which only live until they are 50
Killer whales are toothed whales and carnivorous
Orcas are the largest species of Dolphins
The only enemy of a Killer Whale is a human being
Typically female Orcas weigh 3,000-8,000lbs
Killer whales can reach speeds of 3-4 miles an hour
A calf or new born orca is born tail first are 8 feet long and weighs approxamitly 400 lbs
An average male is between 19-22 feet long and females; tending to be smaller, range from 16-19 feet in length
whales are mammals that live in every ocean around the world, but most commonly in Arctic and Antarctic waters
The scientific name for Killer Whale is Orcinius orca
The largest recorded male was 32 feet long, and weighed in at 22,000lbs!
Whales have superb eyesight below and above water
Killer whales have been clocked at up to 30 miles an hour
