How Planners View the Physical Environment
Great deal of planning centres around two issues:
1) spatial impact on physical environment of proposals for new developments or changes in existing development; &
2) spatial coordination of various functions & activities that constitute the physical environment.
Planners must find ways to “measure” important features & relationships to environment.
