Tl'azt'en Nation's Ancestral History of Yeko (Cunningham Lake)

I recently joined the CURA project to document the Tl'azt'en Nation's ancestral history of Yeko (Cunningham Lake) and specifically, the settlement site of Yekoozdli. This will be accomplished by conducting semi-structured interviews with Elders in the community, and supplemented through archival research. The community would also like to see group interviews conducted on the territory, and it is hoped we can accomplish this in the fall of 2008. The result of this work will be a documented history that can be used in the schools to teach the children where they come from, and how their ancestors lived.
