Profile Description:
Horizon Depth (cm.) Description 
Ao (5-0) Dark brown layer consisting of undecomposed and semi-decomposed remains of mosses, needles, wood, etc. pH 5.2. 
A2 (0-10) Gray to light gray sandy loam. Single grain structure, platiness occasionally present. This horizon frequently extends to a depth of 7 or 8 inches along root channels. pH 5.8. 
B22 (10-30) Brown to light brown sandy loam, single grain structure. pH 6.4. 
B23 (30-50) Brown firmly packed sandy loam; friable single grain structure. pH 6.5. 
B31 (50-75) Gray brown sandy loam bery similar to above horizons. pH 6.4. 
C (75+) Gray irregularly stratified sand, occasional bands of gravel, cobbles or fine silty material. pH 6.5.
