Sombric Brunisolic Soil

These are the Brunisols that have Ah horizon and relatively poor in exchangeable cations. They are similar in morphological properties to Melanic Brunisols. They usually have forest mull Ah and often associated with earthworms. They are found in the coastal areas of British Columbia with mild subhumid to humid climatic conditions under mixed decidous or coniferous forest. In Eastern Canada, they are folund in moderately cool Boreal conditions under mixed-forest areas.

These soils are developed mainly on acidic parent materials.
