(Rego) Humic Gleysolic Soils

Profile description

Omscap (35 to 15 cm) Dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2 m, broken), black (5YR 2.5/1 m, rubbed); 50% unrubbed and 25% rubbed fiber content; pyrophosphate color (10YR 6/2) loose; soft and fluffy; weakly calcareous; abrupt, smooth boundary; 15 to 30 cm thick 

Omsca (15 to 0 cm) Dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2 m, broken), black (5YR 2.5/1 m, rubbed; 50% unrubbed and 25% rubbed fiber content; pyrophosphate color 10YR 6/2; weak fine platy; friable; moderately calcareous; contains band of very pale brown (10YR 6 /3) calcium carbonate 2 cm thick plus shells of immature, freshwater and land snails; abrupt smooth boundary; 10 to 18 cm thick 

Ahscag1 (0 to 25 cm) Black (10YR 2/1 m); silty clay loam; few, fine,faint, yellowish brown (10YR 5/8) mottles; weak to moderate, fine platy; friable; no clay films; strongly calcareous; no coarse fragments; gradual, wavy boundary; 20 to 30 cm thick 

Ahscag2 (25 to 37 cm) Dark gray (10YR 3.5/1 m); silty clay; few, fine and medium, faint, browniish yellow (10YR 6/6) mottles; weak to moderate, fine platy; friable; no clay films; moderately calcareous; no coarse fragments; abrupt, smooth, boundary; 10 to 14 cm thick 

Csg (37 to 41 cm) Gray (2.5 6/1 m); clay loam; many, medium and coarse, prominent prominent, brownish yellow (10YR 6/8) mottles; massive; friable; no clay films; weakly calcareous; no coarse fragments; many, fine, light gray (10YR 7/1) salt crystals throughout the matrix; weakly saline; clea, wavy boundary; 4 to 8 cm thick 

Cskg (41 to 80 cm) Gray (2.5Y 6/1 m); silty clay loam; common, medium, prominent, brownish yellow (10YR 6/8) and light olive brown (2.5Y 5/6) mottles; massive; friable; no clay films; moderately calcareous; no coarse fragments; many, fine, l ight gray (10YR 7/1) salt crystals throughout the matrix; weakly saline; moderate alkaline reaction
