Profile description

Om (13 to 0 cm) Dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2.5 m broken), black (5YR 2/1 m) rubbed; 45% unrubbed fiber and 20% rubbed fiber; pyrophosphate color (10YR 6/2.5); abrupt, smooth boundary; strongly acid reaction 

Aheg (0 to 10 cm) Very dark gray (10YR 3/1 m); loam; few, fine prominent, strong brwon (7.5 YR 5/6) and reddish brown (5YR 4/4/) mottles; weak fine platy breaking to weak, fine granular; friable; plentiful, fine to medium, random roots; common, fine , random pores; no clay films; no carbonates; estimated 10% angular gravelly, coarse frgaments; gradual, broken boundary; 3 to 15 cm thick 

Btgf (18 to 38 cm) Very dark gray (5Y 3/1 m); clay loam; many, coarse, prominent, strong brown (7.5YR 5/6) and reddish brown (5YR 4/4) mottles; moderate, medium subangular blocky; very firm; few very fine, vertical roots; few, very fine, vertical po res; common, thin, very dark gray (5Y 3/1) clay films on some ped surface; no carbonates; esyimated 10% angular gravelly and 5% angular cobbly, coarse fragments; clear, wavy boundary; 16 to 35 cm thick 

BCg (38 to 64 cm) Dark gray (5Y 3.5/1 m); loam; many, medium, prominent, strong brown (7.5YR 5/6) and reddish brown (5YR 4/4/) mottles; weak, medium subangular blocky; very firm; few, very fine, vertical roots; few, very fine, vertical pores; no cl ay films; no carbonates; estimated 10% angular gravelly and 10% angular cobbly, coarse fragments; gradual, wavy boundary; 16 to 35 cm thick 

Cg (64 to 100 cm) Dark gray (5Y 4/1 m); loam; many, medium prominet, strong brown (7.5YR 5/6) and reddish brown (5YR 4/4) mottles; massive; very firm; very few, fine, vertical roots; few, fine, vertical pores; no clay films; no carbonates; estimat ed 10% angular gravelly and 10% angular cobbly, coarse fragments; slightly acid reaction
