CPSC 706: Topics in Computer Science Research and Methodology

In Fall 2003 I was one of four instructors who taught this course. (The others were C. Brown, L. Keener, and J. Polajnar.) We each taught one module of approximately 3 weeks in length.

The module that I taught concentrated on modelling the semantics of programming languages using a denotational approach. Students reviewed concrete syntax, abstract syntax, denotational models including continuations, and created a small sml model for a Basic-like programming language.
