Prerequisites: Math 220 or Math 224 

Course Materials: Course Notes will be available at the copy store. Homework assignments will be distributed in class. Text: Elementary Number Theory and Its Applications, by Kenneth H. Rosen (Sixth edition).

Course Content: This course is an introduction to Number Theory. Topics will be chosen among: The integers, divisibility, Euclidean algorithm, primes, unique factorization, congruences, systems of linear congruences, Euler-Fermat Theorem, multiplicative functions, quadratic residues and  reciprocity, nonlinear Diophantine equations.
