Meetings & The Executive

Club Meetings :

The Ramblers hold a spring meeting every year in late April to preview the upcoming hiking season.

The Ramblers hold their Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the end of each hiking season, usually in early November. The AGM deals with club business including the election of the executive for the upcoming year.

The Executive :

The executive of the Ramblers is responsible for managing the business of the club and the planning of club activities including hikes, meetings, slide shows and social events. The Ramblers current executive consists of the following positions and members.

President - Darryl Polyk	- oversee all club operations
Vice-President - Nowell Senior	- oversee all club operations
Advertising - Sandy Galletti	- advertise club hikes and meetings in local newspapers via postings to newspaper websites
Hiking Schedule - Vivien Lougheed	- lead small group of executives to create hiking schedule
Leaders' Kit - Judy Lett	- organize leaders' kit, including first aid supplies
Leaders' Meeting - Sheila Fleming	- organize leaders' meeting at start of hiking season
Membership - Gail Curry	- maintain club membership list
Secretary - Anne George	- record minutes of executive meetings and Annual General Meeting
Social -	- organize club meetings including general meetings, Christmas party and slide shows
Trail Guides - Judith Robertson	- supply local vendors with trail guides and organize production of trail guides
Trail Maintenance - Dave King	- organize club trail maintenance and development work
Treasurer - Ianna Selkirk	- maintain club financial records
Webmaster - Carolyn Ibis/ Peter Hvezda	- maintain club website, including posting of trip reports

The executive hold a couple of meetings during the year, generally a few weeks in advance of the club meetings.
