Species list of ants collected in central and north-central British Columbia, 1999 - 2005.

Determinations: Rob Higgins identified the majority of the ants from the Houston area. Dr. André Francoeur (Directeur, Centre de données sur la biodiversité du Québec, Chicoutimi, Québec) (Myrmica, Leptothorax) and W.B. Preston (946 McMillan Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba) (all other genera) kindly identified species collected in 1999 around Prince George, and Dr. Francoeur verified identifications by Rob Higgins for later collections. The majority of these collections are from forest environments.
Nomenclature follows Bolton, B. 1995. A new general catalogue of the ants of the world. Harvard University Press, Cambridge, MA., 504 pp.

Species followed by an asterix are new to the region, i.e., there are no records from adjacent regions reported in the literature.
