Note:

The SST data is for the regions Nino 1+2 (0-10S)(90W-80W), Nino 3 (5N-5S)(150W-90W),Nino 4 (5N-5S)(160E-150W), Nino 3.4 (5N-5S)(170-120W) The Oceanic Nino Index (ONI) is one of the primary indices used to monitor the El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO). The ONI is calculated by averaging sea surface temperature anomalies in an area of the east-central equatorial Pacific Ocean, which is called the Nino-3.4 region (5S to 5N; 170W to 120W). The Southern Oscillation Index (SOI), defined as the normalized pressure difference between Tahiti and Darwin is from NOAA website.
