Body Shape
Physical Characteristics of an Orca.
These characteristics are adaptations by the organisms for the organisms environment. Flippers, fins, tail flukes, and a streamlined body allow Orcas to efficiently and quickly catch prey.
An Orcas flipper is 'Homologous' to that of a humans. This means that both body parts evolved from a common ancestor. The difference is that Orcas adapted their flippers to the water, while humans adapted their arms to land.
