Homework: Homework will be assigned
regularly. Each homework assignment consists of several
parts. The best strategy would be to work on the
corresponding part immediately after it is assigned. Note
that, in each homework, only four
questions will be marked for credit. The due date of each assignment
will be announced in class, usually 3-7 days earlier and
will be posted at the course web site. The homework assignments are due in class, not
later than the end of the class on the due date. No late
assignments will be accepted for marking. Solutions and
answers will be posted immediately after the due date of the
assignment at the course web page.
Note: Linear
Algebra is traditionally a difficult subject. If you want to
give yourself the best chances of success in this course, be
prepared to work lots of examples. Most students will
find that they will need to spend a large number of out of
class hours reading the notes and examples from the text,
and doing the homework problems. Lecture attendance is
essential for good performance in this course.
