Mycorrhizas: Anatomy and Cell Biology Images (electronic version)
R. Larry Peterson, Hugues B. Massicotte, Lewis H. Melville, and Forrest Phillips 2006

This CD presents a visual description of all mycorrhiza categories and includes detailed structural information obtained by light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and laser scanning confocal microscopy. It is intended as a supplementary resource of images, which can augment any course of study that deals with various aspects of mycorrhizas. Many of the images have been published in the book, Mycorrhizas: Anatomy and Cell Biology. It is designed so that images can be uploaded into presentations for teaching and seminars.

Book on mycorrhiza structure

Peterson, R.L., H.B. Massicotte and L.H. Melville. 2004. Mycorrhizas: anatomy and cell biology. National Research Council Research Press. 173 pages.

This book is a collective effort with colleagues at the University of Guelph and presents a summary of all the mycorrhizal categories from a morphological and anatomical perspective. Specialized topics are highlighted in each chapter for those who wish to pursue mycorrhizal associations in more depth. Check the NRC journals website for the book table of contents: http://pubs.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/cgi-bin/rp/rp2_book_e?mlist7_558
